DoiTung social enterprise, under the management of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage, is borne as part of the sustainable development initiative of Her Royal Highness Late Princess Srinagarindra, which strives to fundamentally “help people to help themselves”. DoiTung carries forth a continuous mission to develop human capacity through building on local wisdom, enhancing skills throughout entire business processes, and generating income for the local communities through five social businesses: handicrafts, processed foods, café, agriculture, and tourism. The ultimate goal is to transform the lives of once underprivileged and desperate peoples, preparing and empowering them to become world-class artisans crafting quality products and services, able to stand tall with dignity and assured of a secure future.
